Making Connections Community Circle - Fairport
Please join us for a monthly community building circle! We are social beings that not only need connection -- we thrive and are more resilient when community bonds are nurtured and strengthened. The circle structure, where each person has an opportunity to speak, in turn, without interruption, creates a safe space to make connections, build relationships and be heard. Each circle focuses on a meaningful topic that is chosen by trained facilitators . There is never any pressure to speak, or to return, but our hope is that after experiencing a community building circle and the relationships that develop there, you'll join us again as we build community together.
Restoring the Soul of Our City: Free Symposium on Community & Restorative Practices
This will be a day of visioning, connecting, and learning as we bring together educators, system leaders, cultural workers, artists, and community members to explore what it truly means to be a Restorative City.

Academic Circles Training
Presenting curriculum in the form of academic circles is an instructional strategy which engages students in active learning by creating space for them to connect and to learn from one another. In circles, students feel safe to take risks—which opens the door to deeper, higher-level thinking and engagement.
In this training, teachers will learn how to use the Circle process and the key elements of Community Building to teach lessons. It embeds the foundational characteristics of Restorative Practices: relationship, trust, and high student accountability into all subject areas.
Registration Fee: $200 per participant

Coming Back to Life Workshop
With escalating global violence, the unraveling of democracy, and ongoing climate and biodiversity collapse, many of us feel deep grief fear and powerlessness over the increased suffering that is all around us. This experiential workshop offers ways to transform these feelings into soulful actions grounded in insight and compassion.
