Restorative Spaces PiRI Engages
-
Community
At PiRI, we believe community is sacred. Our work transcends traditional programing, it is a movement rooted in connection, culture, and collective healing. We show up for our community in ways that honor both tradition and innovation, creating spaces where every voice matters and every story belongs.
-
Schools
By intentionally building trust and strengthening relationships with colleagues and those they serve, schools create restorative spaces where authentic community can thrive. These spaces foster learning, spark creativity, and support meaningful, lasting change.
-
Organizations
Effective leadership is not just about achieving results, it’s about building a workplace where every employee feels valued and respected. Managers must be equipped with the tools and practices to proactively message care for their teams. When trust is in place, organizations are better prepared to respond to inevitable workplace challenges, such as conflict, harm, or team disagreements, with fairness and clarity.

Restorative Justice
Restorative Conferencing is a structured, facilitated process that brings together the person who caused harm, the person harmed, and community members (when appropriate) to talk about what happened, how people were affected, and what can be done to repair the harm.
What are Restorative Practices?
Restorative Practices are highly effective ways to prevent harm and to rebuild relationships when harm has already been done. Restorative Practices are internal methodologies, and effective procedures within systems and policy, proving their success in schools, the justice system, in communities, families and within ourselves.
At Partners in Restorative Initiatives, we center connection, healing, and accountability by bringing restorative practices to the Finger Lakes and Western New York. Rooted in Indigenous and African wisdom and community empowerment, our approach fosters authentic relationships, strengthens the fabric of our neighborhoods, and creates pathways to repair harm in schools, communities, and the justice system. We walk toward conflict with courage and compassion, nurturing spaces where every voice is valued and every story matters.
Upcoming Events, Workshops, Trainings
Stay connected with PiRI as we create spaces for learning, healing, and transformation. Our upcoming events, workshops, and trainings are designed for educators, families, community members, and leaders who want to deepen their understanding and/or connection to restorative practices.
From community building circles in local libraries to specialized trainings for schools and organizations, we provide opportunities to learn new skills, connect with others, and experience the power of restorative practices.
Registration for library-based programs must be completed directly through the host library’s website.
