Building Relationships. Strengthening Communities. Repairing Harm.

June 6 & 7 – Introduction to Restorative Practice Community Training

Restorative Practices are used to build and strengthen relationships and respond to conflict and harm in communities and organizations. In this two-day training, participants will learn how to facilitate proactive circles to build community and gain an overview of the Restorative Practices continuum, including restorative conversations and community conferencing around serious incidents of harm.

Community-building circles offer a safe space where people can communicate openly and honestly, listen deeply, and build a sense of community. In this training, participants will learn how to develop and use circle values and guidelines, the importance of storytelling, ways to build trust among circle participants, practical applications for using circles, how to plan and facilitate a circle, and ways to create a positive culture within a classroom, building, or community.
